Recently, Mindscape Unlimited experienced an unfortunate situation when somebody hacked into our computer system. This individual had access to all of the personnel and payroll files, let alone every fact about every event the company has ever accommodated (and personal information about employees.)
    The actions taken to solve this crisis are as follows; a Data Breach Risk Assessment (DBRA), a Barracuda Web Firewall, and simply being more cautious and meticulous about the people who are employed and who we plan to employ in the future.
    A DBRA is to inform all management staff of the risks that are taken on the job every day when it comes to data systems. Data breaches are not a technology problem, they are a management problem and they are not taken lightly. (A data breach is the release of secure information to a mistrusted environment, intentionally or unintentionally.)
    A Barracuda Web Application Firewall provides extreme protection against exploiters access into web applications to steal data and perform other uncalled for acts to web sites.

"Case Study (n): An in-depth examination of a single instance of event: a case. It provides an approach to analyzing information, and reporting the results to gain a better understanding or insight into a particular concept or idea.


As described in "Content Rules," the term case studies sounds dry and for lack of a better term, boring. A better sounding term is customer success stories, which sounds more inviting. There are steps to take to create an emotional connection between you and your customers, here's how:
                The set-up - - Give some important facts and keep case studies short
                The Challenge - - Focus on the story. Tell actual instances that you have experienced, people will be more interested in what you have to say.
                The Solution - - Understand the problem and tackle it.
                The Results - - Be proud of your work and leave your customers feeling like they have learned useful information and enjoyed your presence.
                Imagine your story in other media - - Share a success story via video or blog, people will enjoy it.

    The way to put a face on your business, so to speak, is by posting pictures online. Taking pictures at company parties, picnics, or any type of event can ultimitely be utilized as marketing materials for your company. 
    Even though casual snapshots are great, there are a few instances where a professional photographer should be hired: trade shows and large events, head shots, and product glamour shots. Shop around for the best professional photographer for you and your company because they can definitely be expensive. Also, there are different photographers that you may want to hire for different things. For example, the person that was hired to take pictures for a black-tie event may not be the best person to hire when capturing the special moments at a wedding.
